Jim Siebersma
Jim Siebersma, Executive Vice President and head of Buxbaum's Asset
Appraisal group, brings over 25 years of retailing and consulting
experience to the company. Mr. Siebersma has lead the Asset Appraisal
group since 1996 and had been affiliated with Buxbaum Group since
1989. Prior to taking the reins of the Asset Appraisal group Mr.
Siebersma was involved as a lead supervisor of several liquidations
conducted by the Asset Recovery group. He has been directly involved
in the valuation and appraisal of billions of dollars of inventory.
Appraisal assignments have included an extensive range of inventory
types, including apparel, footwear, building materials, sporting
goods, health & beauty, consumer electronics, auto parts &
accessories, flooring, furniture, paper products, and more. Mr.
Siebersma's experience encompasses the retail, manufacturing, wholesale
distribution industry segments throughout the US and Canada.
Mr. Siebersma's retail experience began early on, having learned
the trade through his family's furniture operation in Iowa. Starting
in 1977 at Denver-based Fashion Bar, he rose from store level management
positions to Merchandise Buyer. In 1984, he moved to San Antonio-based
Frost Brothers, an upscale department store where he held several
buying positions before being promoted to General Merchandise Manager.
Mr. Siebersma, born and raised in Orange City, Iowa, and attended
Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, and the Colorado
Institute of Art & Design.
