John Trowbridge
John Trowbridge, Vice President, directs the Asset Recovery
group and its business operations including liquidations and sale of
closeout inventories. John has spent over 15 years in the
liquidation business. He has been affiliated with Buxbaum Group and
its successor companies since 1997. He has served as an independent
contractor specializing in US and Canadian jewelry and retail
liquidations as Lead Consultant, Finance & Administration Consultant
and Regional Supervisor. He has overseen more than 1,000 store
closures and has been an expert witness for insurance fraud and
bankruptcy cases. John has also supervised the liquidations of
catalog showrooms, footwear, fine art, giftware, apparel and
building materials.
John began in the jewelry business in 1962 by starting his own
gemstone importing business while still in high school. He became a
manufacturer's representative and sales manager for a gemstone
cutting and testing equipment company in the mid-1970's. By 1980
John had relocated to Hawaii to become Vice President and operations
manager for House of Adler, the largest diamond retailer in Hawaii.
In 1985, he joined Maui Divers of Hawaii, a large coral and pearl
jewelry manufacturer, as a Vice President.
John Trowbridge is a former officer of American Gem & Mineral
Suppliers Association and The American Society for Industrial
Security (Hawaii Chapter).
