Buxbaum Group’
management helped Rampage put its best foot forward after an ill-fated
plunge into retailing in which the company opened too many stores,
too quickly. With the implementation of procurement and manufacturing

Richman-Gordman
The Buxbaum Group team
held a board position representing the creditors, which helped this
chain of name-brand discount stores pay off all creditors and return
to profitability with a new management team, repositioning and successful
marketing campaign.
Ames Department Stores
The strategy developed by Buxbaum Group's management after Ames emerged from
Chapter 11 included a totally revamped management team as well as
merchandise and purchasing strategies. As a result, Ames grew to
over 455 stores in 19 states generating annual sales of approximately
$4 billion.
